“You owe it to your philosophy to study how to win.”

Our Vision

The vision of the Sir Charles Court Foundation for Western Australia is to promote the conservative liberal philosophy of a strong independent, progressive and inclusive Western Australia and the education of its future leaders.

Sir Charles Court’s life and work is, in many ways, the story of Western Australia and its people. His life – from his early life as an immigrant arriving in Fremantle, to his seminal involvement in the Pacific War, and through to his achievements as Premier - provide rich themes to underpin discussion, debate and promote leadership.

The Foundation’s focus is to create a legacy which is lasting, relevant and alive.

Who we are

The Sir Charles Court Foundation aims to promote the conservative liberal philosophy of a strong independent, progressive and inclusive Western Australia and the education of its future leaders.

Come on the journey...

  • What we do

A strong Western Australia is dependent on future leaders who are committed to Australian Liberalism and are equipped with the necessary skills, ethics and integrity to apply these principles in private and public life.

To that end, the aim is to host key-note address, debates, lectures, and support training. Scholarship, research and mentorship will be aspirations that are forward looking.

The Foundation supports this objective through its sponsorship of education, training and mentorship of liberal leaders of tomorrow.

  • How we do it

Donations by foundation members and donors have helped donors, funds raised and invested will perpetuate the work of the foundation and the trust.

The initial funding has already allowed for work to begin in establishing a keynote address and training initiatives and continue developing a planned schedule of events. Around these, fundraising activities will be instituted. Money raised will perpetuate and progress the work of the Foundation.

  • Why we need you

Our activities are focused on the future and contributing to a stronger WA.

Ultimately, the Foundation will benefit Western Australia’s entire community, by providing opportunities for better educated and trained political and community representatives, and by ensuring that Western Australians participate in the development and prosperity of this great State. Promoting conservative-liberal values and training future parliamentary and community leaders or advocates is a priority for the Foundation and its primary beneficiary, the Liberal Party of Western Australia.

We consider it vital that this undertaking focuses on the future, and that it will be relevant for future generations by providing opportunities for better educated and trained political and community representatives, and by ensuring that Western Australians participate in the development and prosperity of this great State.

Independent of the Liberal Party and self-sustaining, pursuit of this vision will empower and enhance knowledge, awareness, and advocacy of conservatism in Western Australia.
